Are pool installers supposed to smooth out the bottom of the pool prior to liner installation?
By admin | June 13, 2009
Just had my inground pool liner replaced. However, the bottom feels rough on my feet and in some cases you can actually feel pebbles sticking out all over the bottom of the pool. I am afraid this will cause the liner to tear again. Are they not supposed to smooth out the bottom prior to replacing the liner? What are my options?

Will water behind an inground pool liner harm the pool’s structure?
By admin | June 12, 2009
I know how to remove the water, i am just curious to know what kind of problems other than wrinkling the liner will this cause? Will it affect the foundation? Should i close the pool for the rest of the summer? The amount of water behind the liner is quite excessive and the liner floats and wrinkles in many areas. It has pulled out from the coping in a few areas and i have anexcellent opening to pump the water out. I just can’t get to it for a few days….any long term effects for this problem??
I plan on replacing the liner this fall so if the only issues are with the liner itself than i am not concerned.

How do I get water out of my pool liner?
By admin | May 28, 2009
I over filled my under ground pool. Now the liner has water in in and it is ballooned from the side of the pool. What should I do to correct this problem? I am renting my inlaws house and I don’t want them to see the pool in this condition.

Amazingly Realistic New Faux Tile Above Ground Pool Liners
By admin | May 28, 2009
If you take a minute to flip through a landscape magazine, one thing that you will notice is that it is the tile work that separates the good looking pools from truly great looking pools. For decades, decorative tile work has been confined exclusively to built in cement pools, as above ground pool owner were resigned to swimming in pools that were lined with simple, yet functional standard blue above ground pol liners.
Indistinguishable From Ceramic Tile
However; new development in plastics and plastics manufacturing technologies has in turn led to fantastic new development in above ground pool liners. Hence; now they come in a wide range of amazingly realistic decorative styles that can completely change the look of an above ground pool. Faux ceramic tile above ground pool liners actually duplicate the appearance of real ceramic tile, down to the most subtle details, including recessed grout lines.
The Total Look of Real Tile
But what about the top edge of the pool? Doesn’t the realism end there? The simple answer is not at all, because on a completely decorated above ground pool, the decking rides over the top edge, completely concealing it from view. What about the outside metal sides of the pool? Aren’t they visible thereby spoiling the effect? Once again, the decking completely conceals this part of the pool as well.
All at a Fraction of the Cost of Real Tile
The end result, is that when properly done, the complete look of an above ground pool with decking and a decorative tile above ground pool liner is nothing short of amazing. Wrap around natural wood decking combined with an faux tile above ground pool liner will make for an overall effect that will have your guest thinking that you spent tens of thousands of dollars to accomplish.

Where can I get an above ground pool liner for an oval pool that measures 24 X 41?
By admin | May 25, 2009
My friends just bought a house with an above-ground pool that needs a new liner. I have checked many websites such as In The Swim and Pool Deals, but can’t find a liner this size. Is there a place to purchase a custom liner? Or is there a company that carries liners this size?

Anyone ever replace a above ground pool liner?
By admin | May 25, 2009
So I called a couple of companies that do liner installations and no-one called me back. So I am going to attempt to do this on my own. So I have the liner in and it is an over the wall liner so I have it held on by cloths pins and have put some water in, removed the wrinkles and need to know when I should put the coping and the things that go ontop of the copings back on. I am not sure if I should keep filling the pool because I may need to loosen the liner because of the pull when I get more water in. Can anyone help me out and explain when I should put the rails back on?
